With midday highs exceeding 30 degrees, Jeju had two tropical nights with temperatures higher than 25 degrees. Sultry and steamy nights mixed with much humidity from the rainy spell have been keeping many people awake at night. The Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA) says tropical nights phenomenon happened in Jeju for two days, recording morning lows of 26~28 degrees.

제주 이틀째 '잠 못 이룬 밤'

제주지역 낮 최고기온이 30도를 웃도는 무더위가 계속되고 있는 가운데 밤 기온 역시 25도 이하로 떨어지지 않는 열대야 현상이 이틀째 발생했다.
잇따른 비날씨와 함께 찾아온 밤 더위가 장마철 많은 습기와 뒤섞여 찜통더위로 변하면서 도민들의 잠자리를 빼앗고 있다.
제주지방기상청은 14일 오전 도 전역 최저기온이 26~28도를 기록, 13일에 이어 열대야가 발생했다고 밝혔다.
