President-elect Lee Myung-bak’s nomination of Cabinet members and presidential secretaries has stirred a controversy. Suspicions have been raised surrounding the fact that a considerable number of them have led lives that make them unsuitable for public office because they have been involved in real-estate speculation or plagiarism, have dual nationalities or have received questionable immunity from military service.

이명박 정부의 초대 내각과 청와대 수석비서관 면면을 두고 말들이 많다. 이들 상당수가 부동산 투기 의혹, 논문 중복 게재 및 표절, 이중국적, 석연치 않은 병역면제 등 공직에 어울리지 않는 삶을 살아왔다는 의혹들이 잇따라 제기되고 있다.
